20 ILCS 1905/1905-30: Technical efficiency of persons working in mines.

The Department has the power to promote the technical efficiency of all persons working in and about the mines of the State and to assist them better to overcome the increasing difficulties of mining, and for that purpose to provide bulletins, traveling libraries, lectures, correspondence work, classes for systematic instruction, or meetings for the reading and discussion of papers, and to that end to cooperate with the University of Illinois.
