On or before July 1, 2025, the Department may, subject to appropriation, create and implement a Type II Noise Suppression Program as defined by 23 CFR 772.5 to provide noise abatement on existing highways in the State. The Department may determine and prioritize projects within this program in accordance with 23 CFR 772.7(e).
