The State Guardian shall have the same powers and duties as a private guardian as provided in Article XIa of the Probate Act of 1975, approved August 7, 1975. The State Guardian shall not provide direct residential services to its wards. The State Guardian shall visit and consult with its wards at least four times a year for as long as the guardianship continues.
