20 ILCS 3990/3: Establishment of the Alliance.

A political subdivision, body politic and corporate to be known as the Illinois Manufacturing Technology Alliance is hereby established. The exercise by the Alliance of the powers conferred by law shall be an essential public function and shall be for the purpose of advancing the adoption and use of modern commercially available technologies by small and medium size Illinois manufacturers.
