The Department may establish and operate, in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture and the Illinois Finance Authority, an annual awards program to recognize Illinois-based exporters. In developing criteria for the awards, the Department shall give consideration to the exporting efforts of small and medium sized businesses, first-time exporters, and other appropriate categories.
