CHAPTER 225 PROFESSIONS, OCCUPATIONS, AND BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Debt Settlement Consumer Protection Act.

The purpose of this Act is to protect consumers who enter into agreements with debt settlement providers and to regulate debt settlement providers. This Act shall be construed as a consumer protection law for all purposes. This Act shall be liberally construed to effectuate its purpose.
