225 ILCS 450/31: Home rule.

The regulation, licensing, and registration of accountants and CPA firms are exclusive powers and functions of the State. A home rule may not regulate or license accountants or CPA firms. This Section is a denial and limitation of home rule powers and functions under subsection (h) of Section 6 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution.
