25 ILCS 130/7-1

The Legislative Audit Commission is hereby established as a legislative support services agency. The Legislative Audit Commission is subject to the provisions of this Act and shall exercise the powers and duties delegated to it under "An Act to create the Legislative Audit Commission and to define its powers and duties", approved June 19, 1957, as amended, and such other functions as may be provided by law.
