The Agriculture Federal Projects Fund is established as a federal trust fund in the State treasury. This Fund is established to receive funds from all federal departments and agencies, including grants and awards. In addition, the Fund may also receive interagency receipts from other State agencies and funds from other public and private sources. Moneys in the Agriculture Federal Projects Fund shall be held by the State Treasurer as ex officio custodian and shall be used for the specific purposes established by the terms and conditions of the federal grant or award and for other authorized expenses in accordance with federal requirements. Other moneys deposited into the Fund may be used for purposes associated with the federally financed projects. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, on July 1, 2026 or as soon thereafter as practical, the State Comptroller shall direct and the State Treasurer shall transfer the remaining balance from the Federal Agricultural Marketing Services Fund into the Agriculture Federal Projects Fund.
