305 ILCS 5/5-70: Virtual intensive outpatient program services.

For dates of service on and after January 1, 2027, subject to any necessary federal approval, the medical assistance program shall provide coverage for virtual intensive outpatient program services when clinically appropriate, delivered in line with generally accepted standards of care, and only at the request of or with the consent of the patient. The Department shall establish provider qualifications for intensive outpatient program services offering a virtual service delivery option. The Department may establish utilization controls and any appropriate guidelines for coverage of the virtual intensive outpatient program to protect the well-being of persons eligible and enrolled in the medical assistance program. The Department may adopt rules necessary to implement this Section.
