315 ILCS 20/3-9

"Redevelopment" means the eradication, rehabilitation, repair and rebuilding of all or any part of the structures within a Slum and Blight or Conservation Area, and the provision for such industrial, commercial, residential or public structures or spaces as may be appropriate or necessary, including recreational and other facilities incidental or appurtenant thereto.
