35 ILCS 200/19-23: Township collector fees.

Collectors in cities or incorporated towns, in counties of the first and second classes, shall receive such fees as may be prescribed by the common council or board of trustees of their respective cities or incorporated towns, not exceeding in any case 2% of the amount collected by them.
