(a) Qualifying patients or provisional patients that are under the age of 18 years shall not be prohibited from appointing up to 3 designated caregivers who meet the definition of "designated caregiver" under Section 10 so long as at least one designated caregiver is a biological parent or legal guardian.
(b) Qualifying patients and provisional patients that are 18 years of age or older shall not be prohibited from appointing up to 3 designated caregivers who meet the definition of "designated caregiver" under Section 10.
(c) Beginning 90 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 104th General Assembly, designated caregivers, qualifying patients, provisions patients, and Opioid Alternative Patient Program participants registered under this Act may purchase an adequate medical supply at any dispensing organization that has been issued a Medical Cannabis Dispensing Organization license by the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation pursuant to Section 15-37 of the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act.
