55 ILCS 5/3-14012: Removal of commissioners; vacancy.

The president may, in his discretion, remove any commissioner for incompetence, neglect of duty or malfeasance in office. The president shall, at the next regular meeting, report in writing any such removal to the board, with his reasons therefor. Any vacancy in the office of civil service commissioner shall be filled by appointment by the president.
