55 ILCS 5/3-5031: Penalty.

If any recorder shall willfully fail to perform any duty imposed upon the recorder by this Division, the recorder shall be guilty of malfeasance in office, and shall be punished accordingly, and shall be liable to the party injured for all damages occasioned thereby.
