55 ILCS 5/5-1039: Tuberculosis sanitarium.

A county board may cause to be erected, or otherwise provided and maintained, all suitable buildings for a sanitarium for the care and treatment of all persons suffering from tuberculosis who may be admitted to the sanitarium by, or under the direction of the board, and may provide for the maintenance and management of the same.
