55 ILCS 75/5.1

The county board of any county which has adopted this Act in the manner provided in Section 6 may, without a further vote of the electors of the county, issue bonds for the purpose of acquiring or constructing a shelter care or detention home and may provide for the payment of the principal of and interest on such bonds from the tax authorized by this Act.
