620 ILCS 45/5

Vacancies in the Board of Directors occasioned by removal, resignation or otherwise, shall be reported to the county board, or to the governing authorities of the respective taxing body appointing the director, and shall be filled in like manner as the original appointments. No director shall receive compensation as such, or be interested, either directly or indirectly, in the purchase or sale of any supplies or equipment, land or other facilities, or in any contract on behalf of the airport and landing field.
