620 ILCS 5/23b

(1) "Sport parachutist" means any person engaging in sport parachuting other than a novice parachutist or other person not qualifying as a sport parachutist on the basis of ground instruction or parachute jump experience.

(2) "Novice parachutist" means any person engaging in sport parachuting who has received adequate ground instruction in the techniques of parachuting but has not completed 25 parachute jumps.
