65 ILCS 5/4-1-4

The provisions of Article 3 shall apply to all officers elected or appointed under this Article 4 unless otherwise provided or unless there is a conflict between the provisions of this Article 4 and the provisions of Article 3. In the event of such conflict, the provisions of this Article 4 shall control.
