65 ILCS 5/7-7-5: Form of government.

The consolidation ordinance may specify any form of government established by this Code or may define any other form of government not prohibited by law. It is the intention of this Section to permit the adoption of an existing form of government or the creation of a new form of government pursuant to Article VII of the Illinois Constitution.
