70 ILCS 1805/21

The governing and administrative body of the Port District is a Board of 3 members, to be known as the Havana Regional Port District Board. All members of the Board shall be residents of the Port District and persons of recognized business ability. The members of the Board shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred by them in the performance of their duties. However, any member of the Board who is appointed to the office of secretary or treasurer may receive compensation fixed by the Board for services as such officer.
