70 ILCS 200/140-20: Duties.

The Authority shall plan for, promote, operate, and maintain facilities from time to time in the metropolitan area. In connection with its duties, the Authority shall arrange, finance, and maintain facilities for those purposes. Providing office space for lease and rental is an integral function of the Authority. The Authority is granted all rights and powers necessary to perform its duties.
