755 ILCS 5/1-2.03

"Authenticated copy" means (1) a certified copy if the office in which the record of the original is kept is in this State or (2) a copy exemplified in pursuance of the law of Congress in relation to records in foreign states if the office in which the record of the original is kept is not in this State.
