815 ILCS 322/20: Notice to cure.

Before a fine may be imposed under this Act, the State's Attorney of the county in which the violation occurred shall provide the retail mercantile establishment with written notice of the violation. The retail mercantile establishment shall have 30 days after the date of the notice to cure the violation. If the violation is cured within the 30-day period, no fine shall be imposed for that violation.
