815 ILCS 405/2.14

"Holder" of a retail installment contract or a retail charge agreement means the retail seller of the goods or services under the installment contract or charge agreement or the sales finance agency or other assignee which purchases or makes a loan upon the security of the installment contract or the charge agreement.
