IC 16-21-2-1: Applicability

Sec. 1. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b), this chapter applies to all hospitals, rural emergency hospitals, ambulatory outpatient surgical centers, and birthing centers.

(b) This chapter does not apply to a hospital operated by the federal government.

(c) This chapter does not affect a statute pertaining to the placement and adoption of children.
