IC 16-22-6-4: Vacancies

Sec. 4. If a member dies, resigns, ceases to be a resident of the county, or is removed as provided in this chapter, the county executive shall appoint another person as a member of the governing board for the remainder of the term. If a person appointed as a member fails to qualify not more than ten (10) days after the mailing of notice of appointment, the county executive shall appoint another person as member.
