IC 20-26-5-36: Procedures to adopt a remediation program; public hearing; requirement to file an adopted plan with the department

Sec. 36. (a) A remediation program for any subset of students enrolled in kindergarten through grade 12 must be in writing and adopted at a public hearing of the governing body of the school corporation before the governing body may spend money for the remediation program.

(b) After the governing body of a school corporation adopts a remediation program under subsection (a), the school corporation shall promptly file the adopted plan with the department. The department shall review a plan for a remediation program adopted by the governing body of a school corporation and may comment on the plan.
