K.S.A. 38-510: Salaries and expenses.

The members of the advisory board shall receive no compensation. The salaries of the managers in charge shall be fixed by the board of county commissioners and warrants shall be drawn for the payment of such salaries and all other bills regularly allowed by said board of county commissioners, on account of expenses incurred for the maintenance of said home.
