K.S.A. 40-609: Act not to apply to certain associations.

This article shall not apply to any association of religious or secret societies now existing or under the supervision of a grand or supreme lodge, nor to any class of mechanics, express, telegraph or railroad employees formed for the mututal benefit of the members thereof and their families, exclusively.
