KRS 100.271: Administrator of zoning regulations, powers.

An administrative official shall be designated by the city or county to administer the

zoning regulation, and, if delegated, housing or building regulations. The administrative

official may be designated to issue building permits or certificates of occupan cy, or both,

in accordance with the literal terms of the regulation, but may not have the power to

permit any construction, or to permit any use or any change of use which does not

conform to the literal terms of the zoning regulation.
