KRS 109.190: Status of existing districts.

Garbage and refuse districts established pursuant to this chapter prior to June 17, 1978,

whether de jure or de facto, unless the cabinet finds that such do not comply with the

Federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act as amended and with the state so lid

waste management plan, shall be deemed waste management districts and shall have all

of the powers and duties of waste management districts as set forth in this chapter.
