KRS 12.050: Deputy heads of departments and directors of divisions and institutions.

Unless otherwise provided by law, deputy heads of departments, and directors of

divisions and institutions shall be appointed by the heads of the departments and in

statutory departments the appointment of deputy heads of departments, and heads of

divisions shall be with the prior written approval of the Governor. In departments each

division head shall report to the head of the department to which the division is assigned.
