KRS 161.490: Investigation of statement.

To the extent to which it is used in determining the liability of any fund of the retirement

system, the board of trustees shall ascertain the correctness of the statement filed under

KRS 161.480 by the best evidence it is able to obtain. If official recor ds are not available

as to length of service, age, salary, or other information required for the administration of

the retirement system, the board may use its discretion as to the evidence to be accepted.
