KRS 164.980: Impersonation of police officer prohibited.

No person shall falsely represent himself to be a police officer, agent or employee of a

police department of a public institution of postsecondary education and in such assumed

character, arrest, or detain, or search, or question, in any manner the person or property of

any person, nor shall any person without the authority of the governing board of the

public institution of postsecondary education wear its official uniform, insignia, badge, or

identification of the department.
