KRS 197.175: Release of prisoners on first day of month of sentence expiration.

The commissioner of the Department of Corrections may permit the release of the

prisoners on the first day of the month in which their sentences would expire; if the first

day of the month falls on Saturday, Sunday, or a legal holiday, the prisoners may be

released on the last weekday of the preceding month.
