KRS 205.5321: Contracts for Medicaid services by managed care organizations --

Extension and procurement requirements -- Sunset.

(1) Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the Department for Medicaid

Services shall:

(a) Extend all contracts wit h Medicaid managed care organizations in effect on

April 14, 2026, through December 31, 2028; and

(b) Not initiate a procurement process under KRS Chapter 45A for the delivery of

Medicaid Services by one (1) or more managed care organizations prior to

January 1, 2028.

(2) This section shall expire and have no force or effect after March 15, 2029, unless

extended by an act of the General Assembly.
