KRS 205.830: Legislative intent.

It is the intent of KRS 205.835 to assist the cabinet in ascertaining eligibility of applicants

for or recipients of benefits under programs administered by the cabinet and to prevent

abuse of such programs by imposing a public duty upon all banks, savings and loan

associations, credit unions, and other financial institutions to cooperate with the cabinet

and to disclose financial data pertinent to such applicants or recipients or members of

their respective households.
