KRS 247.040: Quicksand substation -- Functions.

The Quicksand substation shall conduct experimental work and carry on investigations in

timber production, forest growth, forest renewal and the utilization of forest products, the

practicability of reforestation and the development of a permanent forest i ndustry. It shall

also conduct experimental work, investigations and demonstrations in the various phases

of horticulture, animal husbandry and agriculture and such other investigations and

demonstrations as bear directly upon the development of agriculture in eastern Kentucky.
