KRS 304.9-370: Service of process against nonresident licensee under this subtitle or

surplus lines broker.

(1) Application for and acceptance of a license issued under this subtitle or as a surplus

lines broker by a nonresident of Kentucky shall be deemed to cons titute irrevocable

appointment of the Secretary of State as the attorney of the licensee for the

acceptance of service of process issued in this state in any action or proceeding

against the licensee arising out of the licensing or out of transactions unde r the

license.

(2) Service of process against any nonresident licensee may be made in any action by

service upon the Secretary of State as provided in KRS 304.3-230.
