KRS 309.460: Definitions for KRS 309.460 to 309.464.

For the purposes of KRS 309.460 to 309.464:

(1) "Department" means the Kentucky Department for Public Health as established in

KRS 194A.030;

(2) "Certified community health worker" means an individual who has been certified, in

accordance with KRS 309.462 and 309.464, by the department as a community

health worker; and

(3) "Core competencies" means the knowledge and skills a certified community health

worker is expected to demonstrate in order to carry out the mission and goals of the

profession as defined by the department through the promulgation of administrative

regulations in accordance with KRS Chapter 13A.
