KRS 30A.180: Assignment as special circuit clerk to fill vacancy.

In the event of a vacancy in the office of circuit clerk in any county, the Chief Justice may

assign any other circuit clerk in the Commonwealth as special circuit clerk to fill the

vacancy for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, or until a person is appointed to fill

the vacancy as provided by law, whichever occurs first.
