KRS 382.310: Clerk may complete acknowledgment and record of predecessor.

If the office of any county clerk has been vacated, leaving therein any instrument

unrecorded, which from an official endorsement thereon appears to have been

acknowledged or proved in part, his successor may receive the complete acknowledgment

and record the same, stating the facts in his certificate. If any such instrument appears to

have been acknowledged or proved ready for record, or to have been acknowledged or

proved before another officer, and certified according to law, and lodged in his office for

record, or is produced to his successor for record, the successor of such clerk shall record

the instrument, making his certificate conform to the facts.
