KRS 427.030: Debtor's tools exempt.

The tools, not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300) in value, of any individual debtor

necessary in his trade are exempt from levy under execution, attachment, distress for rent

or fee -bill. One (1) motor vehicle not exceeding two thousand five hundred d ollars

($2,500) in value and its necessary accessories, including one (1) spare tire, of a mechanic

or other skilled artisan primarily engaged in the replacement, repair, or emergency

servicing of essential mechanical, electrical or other equipment in gene ral use, is exempt

from execution, attachment, garnishment, distress warrant or fee-bill.
