KRS 61.926: Special officers designated peace officers -- Authorization to carry a

concealed deadly weapon.

Special law enforcement officers duly commissioned under KRS 61.900 to 61.930 shall

be deemed "peace officers" within the meaning of KRS 527.020 and shall b e authorized

to carry a concealed deadly weapon on or about their persons when necessary for their

protection in the discharge of their official duties.
