KRS 65.664: Powers of emergency services boards.

The emergency services board shall be a corporate public body and a political subdivision

of the Commonwealth. It may prosecute and defend suits, hire necessary employees, and

perform all acts necessary to carry on the work of providing fire fighting, emer gency

ambulance, and rescue squad services to the community.
