Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 160, § 194: Baggage checks

Section 194. Every railroad corporation shall, upon request, give checks to passengers for their baggage when delivered for transportation, and shall re-deliver the baggage to the passengers upon the surrender of such checks. A corporation violating this section shall forfeit ten dollars.
