Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 160, § 228: Tampering with tools or appliances

Section 228. Whoever unlawfully uses, removes or tampers with any tools or appliances carried on the cars of a railroad corporation as required by section one hundred and sixty-three shall be punished by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than three months, or both.
