Mass. Gen. Laws ch. 164, § 117: Written statement of amount recorded given by meter reader

Section 117. When a gas or electric meter in a building owned or used by a customer of a gas or electric company is read by an employee or agent of such company, he shall, upon request, deliver to the person using the gas or electricity measured by the meter a written statement of the amount recorded by the meter at that time.
